Second Stage Round 9: FMP BG - Vienna 84-92

There was an upset in Belgrade where second-best SerbianFMP BG (11-14) was defeated by sixth ranked Austrian BC Vienna (9-16) 92-84 on Monday. Vienna looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Lithuanian forward Simas Jarumbauskas (200-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and Italian-Bulgarian Borislav Mladenov (202-2000) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Four BC Vienna players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Filip Barna (201-1999) with 18 points and 4 assists and American guard Joshua Scott (185-1998, college: Thomas Univ.) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vienna moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Krka. Loser FMP BG keeps the second position with 14 games lost. They share it with Mega BG.
